This project was difficult. I had a hard time working with the program's set-up and rules. It took me a while to get everything to work correctly. I hate how this program does not allow you to edit things, you need to start over if you make mistakes. I'm not sure if I will use this tool often in the future. However it did meet NET.S standards 2 and 3 because it allowed teachers to demonstrate their ability to use technology and it allowed them to organize material using digital tools for innovative learning.

Google Earth
Reflection
I think this project met all on the NET.S standards. It met standard 1 because all of the students in our class were motivated to use Google Earth because of this interesting graphics. It also met standard 2 because this is a digital age learning experience because the resource, GoogleEarth, makes the "impossible possible" as our text would say. It meets standard 3 because our instructor prepared use to be able to demonstrate our knowledge on using this resource. Furthermore it meets standard 4 because this resource could be used to examine global issues. Lastly it meets standard 5 because this is a very sophisticated tool. I enjoyed working on this project because it let me learn how to use a new resource, Google Earth. I loved Google Earth especially because of the 3D models on the maps. I also liked it because it allowed me to share something about my own experiences with the class. I think that this tool could be applied to many circumstances in the classroom.

My reflection on this game is that it is motivational but not necessarily educational. It could be a good introduction to a geographical or scientific study of Hawaii but will not teach much substance. Despite my opinion for not recommending it for class use the program still met NETS standards 1 because it gave students a virtual environment to learn from and 4d because it gives students cultural and global awareness of the geography (of Hawaii). As much as I enjoyed this program I do not think it is worth the teacher’s money or time.
